John Cotton is based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, and is a privately owned company which was founded in 1916.  

The business has two divisions. First, it is Europe’s leading manufacturer of duvets, pillows and mattress protectors, which it sells mainly to retailers. Secondly, it produces a range of non-woven textiles for sale to other manufacturers. These two divisions combined produce an annual turnover of approximately £80million. 

PPCF has acted for John Cotton Group over a number of years, advising on a range of corporate finance issues including buy side advice and due diligence on two acquisitions.
