Synergize is a contracting business focused on planned repair and maintenance of non-traditional properties. The business refurbishes all aspects of properties including doors, windows, roofing and external wall insulation. As a key contractor on the MOD housing contract, the business is based in Leeds and operates across England.
The Company was established in 2012 by Peter and Debra Jones and delivered revenue of c.£10m for the year ending 30 September 2017.
Park Place Corporate Finance acted as lead advisor to the shareholders on the sale of the business to Grosvenor House Group (“GHG”). GHG, based in Harrogate, operates PFI contracts and provides facilities management solutions to private and public sector clients.
Ben Peacock, who led the PPCF team, commented: “In a relatively short period of time Peter and Debra have firmly established Synergize as a key partner in the delivery of the MOD housing refurbishment programme. The business has grown by 75% year on year for the last 3 years and reached a stage where it needed the support of a bigger business to sustain this growth. GHG was identified as the ideal partner for the business and I am sure the group will go from strength to strength.”
