Park Place at the 2024 Yorkshire Dealmakers Awards
The Park Place team were honoured to be recognised by their peers with two prestigious awards at the 2024 Yorkshire Insider Dealmakers. This closed out a great ‘awards season’ for the team having also won in three categories at the Rainmaker awards in July.
The evening got off to a great start with Park Place winning the coveted ‘Corporate Finance Team of the Year’ award. In the qualifying period we advised our clients on nine deals, ranging in size from £5m to over £600m in value, across a range of deal types and sectors. For many of these deals we had the privilege of working with clients for a second or even third time. We hope such longevity of relationships demonstrates the core principles of our advisory approach, being senior led, independent and truly focused on offering simply what we believe to be the best advice.
The team was recognised for a second time for our role as lead advisor to My Pension Expert (MPE) on their acquisition of Tenet & You. This deal won the ‘Deal under £5m’ award category. Again, we were delighted to win the award, working with MPE, a long-standing client of the firm.
The Dealmakers’ event brought together over 800 people to celebrate deal making in the region. Park Place is always privileged to follow our existing and new clients outside of region, yet we remain excited and proud to be centred here in Yorkshire and the North East where so many of our clients build their fantastic businesses. Congratulations to all the other award winners and indeed to all of those at the event working hard with skill and experience to get great deals done.
Our current activity levels are strong as we approach the end of the calendar year. Broader M&A market conditions are perhaps best described as ‘inconsistent’ but with good clients and good advice there are reasons to be optimistic. We look forward with confidence to 2025.
